Top Five: Viral Outbreak Movies

The world has entered a pandemic with COVID-19 spreading like... well, like a virus.  Since I'm a sick bastard with a twisted sense of humour, I figured it was a great time to bring you a Top Five List of Viral Outbreak Movies! " 12 Monkeys " (1995)-  In this film, Bruce Willis is sent from the future to prevent the release of a virus by eco-terrorists that'll wind up wiping out the majority of humanity- and pushing them underground. Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt put in great performances in this film.  The book is pretty good too. " 28 Days Later " (2002)-  The UK has been hit by a virus that is turning people into rage filled killers. Great acting, great mood, and a realistic sense of isolation.  Especially note worthy for introducing the concept of the "rage zombie" to the genre.  Definitely a film to watch while the streets empty of people hoping to avoid COVID-19. " Cabin Fever " (2002)-  A group of friends go to an ...

Halloween Day by Day: Top Five Horror Funko Pops I Want

If you're a collector, then you're all aware of what Funko Pops are- "cute" little figures based on all sorts of movie, television, and comic book characters.  Well, I've compiled a list of the Top Five Horror Funko Pops I Want... Alien Face Hugger-  Let's start with one from one of my favorite franchises: "Aliens".  The Face Hugger is an iconic alien terror that brings tremors of fear to pretty much anyone that thinks about what it does to you. But hey, it's also giving you free hugs, so it's not ALL bad... right? I don't think a collector of "Aliens" merch would wish to NOT have this one in their inventory. And let's face it... it's kinda cute... in a creepy sort of way, right? Right Ash-  Seriously, given my love of horror and comedy, you all had to expect that Ash from the "Evil Dead" franchise would be on this list. This one just looks really cool, with Ash bearing his tr...

Halloween Day by Day: Top Five Haunted Dolls

There are two things that can be guaranteed to make a horror movie creepy as fuck.  Killer children, and haunted dolls. Hell- even non-haunted dolls are enough to creep people out.  *shudder* So, I figured it'd be cool to list my Top Five Haunted Dolls!  Sooooooo, let's get to it! Annabelle-  I think it's safe to say that Annabelle is probably the MOST famous of the haunted dolls on this list.  The details of the haunting surrounding this doll are fascination and unsettling at the same time.  This isn't helped by the fact that Raggedy Ann dolls were such a symbol of innocent childhood and companionship. Ed and Lorraine Warren introduced the world at large to this scary doll- and inspired "The Conjuring" spin-off "Annabelle". I must confess though- the original Raggedy Ann doll is more eerie than what was used in the movies. Mandy-  The Quesnel Museum in British Columbia is home to this porcelain doll made between 1910 ...
